Southbank...A magical areaSouthbank has world class views, first class shopping a few five star hotels, excellent dining and is the arts district of the city. You will also find Crown Casino here. The casino has some great shopping including Prada, Louis Vuitton, La Perla and Burberry. Don't go past the fantastic Crown Spa. I highly recommend the Aromatherapy Body Salt Glow. If you would like to gamble The Mahogany Room is there for high rollers. It is a private area set aside for those who want to play with big dollars and hopefully win more dollars back. A friend of mine was a waitress here and she served an A-List Hollywood star who gave her a tip of a few thousand dollars. He was even nice enough to call her by her name. Very considerate. The views of the city are sublime here as you can see from the panoramic nite photo which is my website header. A perfect choice. Dine along Yarra River and enjoy the views that you will cherish forever. Southgate is a wonderful building full of many restaurants and stores to do a lot of souvenir shopping in. There is a huge diversity of stores here which will keep you very happy for hours. For something a little different try the Sunday market along the riverbank. You will come away with true one of a kind items no-one in the world has.
Magical Southbank at Dusk
The luxurious five star Langham Hotel (pictured above) is here with its ultra pampering, Chuan Spa. You have to try the Chuan Stone Therapy. A massage with hot rocks is unbelievable! As for real estate in this area prices start from around $300,000 up to a few million dollars. Most of these buildings are brand new with all the modern conveniences you could ever want. Including: 
Some of these buildings include Riverside Quay and Freshwater Place which is a gorgeous new building in a spectacular design. It is a slim semi-circular building that is tall and elegant. You will also find the tallest apartment building in the world Eureka Tower, pictured right. It stands 300 metres tall and has 92 floors. It is reported that while Nicholas Cage was in Melbourne shooting his film Ghost Rider that he bought one of the penthouses in the tower. The most spectacular part of the building are the windows on the top floors of the tower which are covered in gold. I love the way they sparkle when the midday sun shines on them. The views from these buildings are breathtaking. Forget the TV the views are to die for. You have Crown Casino, Southbank Promenade, the arts district and the CBD all at your doorstep.
