Restaurant Melbourne Australia... These are some of the finest dining establishments the world has
to offer.
The chefs have become celebrities. The food is spectacular. The variety is enormous due to our multi-cultural society and the quality is superb.
You can choose from Australian, European, Greek, Italian, Indian, French, Asian - Vietnamese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese and so much more.
If you love Asian food Chinatown is the place to go.
One of the best Asian restaurants to visit is the Flower Drum on Market Lane which serves Cantonese cuisine. It has been open for over thirty years and has received high praise year after year due to its food excellence and great wine list.
Maybe you prefer Italian food then Lygon St is the place for you. I think I have dined in almost all of them. There must be over one hundred restaurants.
If you like fine dining then the Crown Casino Complex is the place to go.
It has many fine dining restaurants including Rockpool which is owned by Neil Perry. A famous chef in Australia Perry has his own show on Foxtel and many books and products that you can buy in your local supermarket.
Nobu Melbourne is another restaurant that just opened at Crown which is co-owned by movie legend Robert De Niro. The cuisine served there is Modern Japanese.
Vue De Monde is an award-winning restaurant which won Restaurant of The Year in 2007. If you love modern French food you will love this place.
On the corner of Exhibiton Street and Flinders Street is The Press Club which won Best New Restaurant and Chef of the Year in 2008 for the chef/owner George Calombaris. It is a Greek inspired restaurant with a very modern twist in a very modern setting.
Another area you can try is South Yarra which has the famous France Soir restaurant on Toorak Rd which also serves French cuisine.
Down the road and around the corner is Caffe e Cucina on Chapel Street which has excellent Italian food and the best coffee in Melbourne.
The Botanical which is across the road from the Royal Botanical Gardens on Domain Rd in South Yarra is an iconic restaurant which always gets high praise for its high quality food and non-pretentious atmosphere.
Southbank also has many restaurants you can try along the riverbank with a variety of cuisines from all over the world.
Dockland is a new area which has also become very popular. Choose between Asian, European Cuisine or seafood - my favourite.
You don't need to travel the world to find the best cuisine. It is all here in Melbourne. Find out more information about the luxury restaurants Melbourne has to offer. There is so much more to explore and enjoy.
