Another iconic name in jewellery is Cartier. Louis-Francois Cartier took over the jewellery store from his master in 1847 and helped it become the iconic label it is today.

Denmark is where Georg Jensen originated. He was born in 1866 and began his training as a goldsmith at the age of 14. He wanted to be a sculptor so went on to study arts.

Finding it difficult to earn a living he went on to train as a silversmith with the Danish master Mogens Ballin.

The combination of all his training and skills meant his creations where very original. These unique designs soon caught the attention of the public and success soon followed.

Today you can find his stores in Paris, New York, London, Berlin and Melbourne.
